Massive Sandstorm Engulfs Marrakech, Paralyzing City Streets

The city of Marrakech woke up on Monday, December 16, with a violent sandstorm and wind. In several videos circulating on social networks, we can see the deserted streets, with few vehicles trying to face the fury of this storm.
The inhabitants of the ochre city were warned by the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN) of the probability of strong gusts of wind on the northern and central plains, the Atlas, the Oriental and the south of the country.
DMN had also announced that frequent sand storms would hit the south of the Oriental, the southeastern slopes and the Saharan provinces.
