Marvel’s $275 Million ’The Marvels’ Partly Filmed in Morocco, Budget Soars

The production of the next Marvel Studios film, "The Marvels", would have cost a colossal investment of $275 million. It was partly shot in Morocco.
According to Forbes, the studio led by Kevin Feige would have invested $275 million in the production of its next film, The Marvels. A budget that has increased by $100 million compared to that of the previous Marvel film, which was $175 million.
The amount of the production of this film is high for several reasons, explains Cinemas comics, specifying that the film is a continuation of Captain Marvel and WandaVision, two successful Marvel films and series. Then, the film introduces new characters like Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau. Finally, it was shot in several countries, including Morocco, the United States and the United Kingdom.
The total cost of the film will exceed $300 million, if we include the marketing and advertising costs. Of the $275 million devoted to its production, Marvel spent $219.8 million and obtained a $55 million grant from the United Kingdom.
However, The Marvels is not the most expensive film of the Marvel studios. The record is held by Avengers: Endgame, whose production cost $356 million. But the film is the most expensive of Phase 4 of the MCU. Superhero films require quite complex special effects, which justifies the significant increase in production costs.
