Marseille's Harit Struggles to Secure Transfer as Window Closes

While he is no longer in the plans of Roberto De Zerbi, coach of Olympique de Marseille (OM), and should leave the club during this winter transfer window that is coming to an end, Moroccan midfielder Amine Harit is struggling to find a new club. This is causing frustration among the OM management.

Can Amine Harit hope for an attractive last-minute offer? He is no longer in the plans of coach Roberto De Zerbi, who has not counted on him since the match against Paris Saint-Germain, when he received a red card in the 20th minute, which led to his absence due to suspension and then the injury he suffered in the calf, keeping him away from the pitch in recent weeks, and he should leave the Vélodrome stadium. But he has not yet been able to find a new club while the winter transfer window is closing.

The sale of Amine was abruptly stopped by his recent injury, L’Équipe believes to know. His transfer is currently on hold. The uninteresting financial offers would perhaps also be at the origin of this situation or the lack of a good understanding between OM and the former Schalke 04 player. The Marseille club had in the meantime claimed 9 million euros to discuss the offers made for the Moroccan international.

Amine joined OM in 2021 from Schalke 04. Two years later, the French club had decided to buy out his contract in 2023 for 5 million euros, with a contract extending until the end of the 2026/27 season. The 27-year-old player has scored 10 goals and provided 19 assists in 103 matches.

If he does not recover from his injury, Amine could miss the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2025) with the Moroccan national team as in 2022, when he was unable to participate in the 2022 World Cup. He had suffered a serious injury on the pitch of Monaco, just a few days before the start of the biggest football event. Is fate conspiring against the Atlas Lion?
