Marseille's Amine Harit Faces Uncertain Future as Club Open to Transfer Offers

While he has turned down lucrative offers from Russia and Italy to continue with Olympique de Marseille (OM) for an additional season, the Moroccan midfielder Amine Harit is in difficulty. His adventure is taking an unexpected turn.

The end of the Marseille adventure for Amine Harit? The Moroccan midfielder "is no longer in the plans of coach Roberto De Zerbi, who has not counted on him since the match against Paris Saint-Germain, when he received a red card in the 20th minute, which led to his absence due to suspension and then the injury he suffered to the calf, keeping him away from the field in recent weeks," believes foot01.

OM is also ready to receive offers to transfer the 27-year-old player, on the decision of the club’s coach, the same source reports. The Marseille club had meanwhile claimed 9 million euros to discuss the offers made to the Atlas Lion, whose market value is estimated at 15 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.

Italian clubs Genoa and Russian Zenit St. Petersburg had expressed interest in Amine, but the player refused the offers, preferring to continue with OM for an additional season, in the hope of staying with the Marseille club despite the departure of his teammate and compatriot Azzedine Ounahi, loaned to the Greek club Panathinaikos.

Amine joined OM in 2021 from Schalke 04. Two years later, the French club had decided to buy out his contract in 2023 for 5 million euros, with a contract extending until the end of the 2026/27 season. The 27-year-old player has scored 10 goals and provided 19 assists in 103 matches.
