Marrakech Tourism Revival: Minister Launches Post-COVID Recovery Projects

Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor has begun a two-day visit to Marrakech to discuss with stakeholders in her department, in order to boost the post-Covid recovery in the city.
On the agenda of this trip, several activities including the launch of several investment projects in the tourism, crafts and social and solidarity economy sectors, as well as the monitoring of the progress of some major works launched in the city.
Thus, the minister will visit the sites of the future Congress Palace and Exhibition Center, the crafts complex, the training center for crafts trades as well as the Sidi Ghanem area, a showcase of local crafts.
Then, the Minister will head to the village of Ait Ourir, about 50 km from Marrakech, to appreciate the efforts made by the Fenn Nassij cooperative which has benefited from the "Morafaqa" program and now employs 180 employees, 80% of whom are women.
A meeting is planned after this stage, with tourism professionals, the provincial tourism centers of the Region, the presidents of the regional associations and administrators of the regional tourism center.
