Marrakech Tourism Rebounds as Hotels Reopen and Bookings Surge Post-Covid

After two dark years due to the health crisis related to Covid-19, tourism is gradually recovering in Marrakech.
In Marrakech, tourism activity has resumed to the delight of professionals in the sector. They also display a certain optimism. According to the Regional Investment Center of Marrakech/Safi, the ochre city continues to attract tourism investors. Several hotels have resumed their activity and bookings are on the rise, reports the Regional Association of the Hotel Industry. All hotels have reopened except for 41 units that remained closed, including 20 permanently, reports L’Économiste.
The reopening of Moroccan airspace gives hope to tourism professionals, but efforts must be made to attract more tourists. Groundwork must be done to make Marrakech more attractive, as it has been found that some existing monuments are in dilapidated states. It is therefore necessary to encourage investments in this area and maintain these monuments.
