Marrakech Tourism Hopes for Boost as School Start Delayed to October

The news of the postponement of the school start, announced on September 6 by the Ministry of National Education, seems to delight tourism professionals in Marrakech who intend to play the extensions in the offers.
According to L’Économiste, the postponement of the school start to October 1st could benefit the ochre city, which has experienced a disappointing summer season. Hotel complexes have recorded mixed fortunes. While some hotels have managed to get their act together by ensuring nearly 50% occupancy rates, others have been less fortunate and have had fewer customers, the newspaper says.
Taking advantage of the news, the apparently happy accommodation establishments did not wait to concoct offers for families, on social networks and booking platforms.
The daily continues by explaining that 4 Israeli companies have scheduled direct flights to the destination and that RAM should follow suit. The latter have contributed to filling hotel rooms during the summer.
Since the resumption of air travel through special flights, some fifty planes land every day at Marrakech airport, from European countries and Israel, a very promising market for the ochre city.
