Marrakech Tops French Travel Searches for All Saints’ Day Getaways

According to the trends in bookings and flight searches for the All Saints’ Day holidays published by a travel agency, a Moroccan city remains the preferred destination of the French.
Many French people want to spend the All Saints’ Day holidays abroad. According to the trends based on bookings and searches made on eDreams from March to October 17, 2024, for trips between October 19 and November 4, 2024, there is a 51% increase in flight searches for the All Saints’ Day holiday period, reports Air Journal. This confirms "this growing trend of the French to compare flights before making a purchase, rather than being content by default with a single offer from an airline or a single hotel," notes the travel agency.
40% of the French opt for a stay of 7 to 13 days, while 27% prefer shorter getaways of 3 to 4 days. As for planning, 43% of French travelers book their holidays between one and two months in advance, while 25% are seasoned planners and book more than 90 days before departure. What about the preferred destinations? While 45% of the French remain in Europe for their All Saints’ Day holidays, 46% prefer international destinations.
Not surprisingly, Marrakech tops the list of the French’s favorite cities for the All Saints’ Day holidays. The ochre city is followed by Rome. Lisbon and Madrid come next. Istanbul completes the top 5. France remains, however, a popular destination for tourists, both French and foreign, for All Saints’ Day. Paris is the most booked city during this time of year. Nice occupies the 2nd place in the top 5. Lyon and Marseille follow. Toulouse takes the fifth place.
