Marrakech Airport Taxi Drivers Accused of Harassing Passengers Over Ride-Hailing App

Many Marrakchis and tourists are angry with the taxi drivers at the Marrakech-Menara airport. They claim to have been regularly harassed by the latter who try to find out if they are using the Indrive application.
Acting like police officers conducting a check, these taxi drivers stop all the cars arriving at the airport, asking the drivers if they are using "Indrive", an application that offers transportation services at competitive prices, and which according to them, would be at the origin of the drop in their income.
These behaviors have raised the concern and indignation of many users of the Marrakech-Menara airport, which is very visited by Moroccans wishing to go abroad, as well as by many foreign tourists at the end of their stay in the ochre city and who are about to return to their countries.
According to Kech24, this situation could have negative repercussions on the tourism sector. This is why travelers are calling on the competent authorities to take urgent measures to put an end to these illegal practices of taxi drivers at the airport level.
