Maroc Telecom has announced that it has paid the fine of 2.45 billion dirhams (MMDH), imposed by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT).
This is an amount corresponding to a "liquidation of a penalty" imposed by the regulator in a decision taken on July 22 last, recalls a press release from the group.
This sanction comes in the context of the unbundling case in which Maroc Telecom was convicted in 2020, it is pointed out.
In a recent note on its financial results, the company announced the payment of this amount. However, the appeal on the merits against this decision before the courts is still under investigation, it is reported.
