Maroc Telecom Agrees to 10% Salary Hike for Employees After Union Negotiations

After a series of negotiations, Maroc Telecom Maroc Telecom employees have managed to obtain a 10% salary increase with retroactive effect from the management. An agreement has been signed to this effect between the two parties.
The agreement was signed on Friday in Rabat between the company’s management, in the presence of the three largest representative unions, UNTM, FDT and CDT, reports Al Oâmk, specifying that this salary increase takes effect from July 1 of the year, provided that this increase is not less than 800 gross dirhams per month.
The signed protocol also involves the elimination of the two categories of execution and excellent execution of the classification grid, and the promotion of the users concerned to the management category, while maintaining social peace for a period of at least three years, the same source points out.
In addition, other demands made by the unions will be studied to guarantee better conditions for the workers. These include the generalization of the benefit of the annual balance allocated to the telephone and networks, and the facilitation of access to fiber optic services for all employees of the institution.
