New Maritime Route to Connect Morocco and Portugal in July

Abdelkader Amara, Minister of Equipment and Transport, announced that the maritime line between Tangier and Portimão, Portugal will be operational in early July 2021.
The launch of the Tangier-Portimão maritime line is confirmed. In an interview with Le360, Abdelkader Amara, Minister of Equipment and Transport, said that the maritime line between Tangier and Portimão in Portugal will be launched in early July. "As I speak to you, the director of the merchant navy is in Lisbon to put the finishing touches to the agreement that will be signed between Morocco and Portugal," he said.
In total, two ships, flying the Moroccan flag, will be put into service. They will make two trips per day with 4,000 people on board. According to Abdelkader Amara, the crossing time between the two ports will be around 7 hours and "reasonable prices" will be charged. He also announced that two new maritime links have recently been launched: Sète-Al Hoceima and Savona-Tangier.
