Manhunt Continues for 12 Migrants After Palma Airport Escape in Spain

Twelve fugitive passengers after the escape at Palma airport in Majorca are still untraceable, according to Spanish police sources.
A week after the incident, the Spanish police have still not managed to get their hands on these illegal migrants who made headlines in Spain. While 13 passengers involved were arrested and detained, the justice system is still looking for 12 accomplices who have evaporated into thin air, reports the Europa Press agency.
On the Facebook group Brooklyn, created to set up the operation, one of them gave signs of life, the agency points out, according to which he was in a forest "and that the Spanish police were still chasing them". "They are shooting at us with rubber bullets," he said in a last message posted before, apparently, being dropped by his "phone, about to die" having only "1% battery left".
Others, on the other hand, have chosen to leave the island quickly. At least two people would have thus joined Barcelona by ferry, says Europa Press, adding that it is the big unknown for the rest. The Spanish authorities seem to have lost contact even if the collaboration with Morocco has made it possible to identify the accused and to issue international arrest warrants against them.
