Manchester United Unlikely to Retain Amrabat as AC Milan Shows Interest

After a disappointing performance in the Champions League, marking their worst performance in this tournament in 18 years, Manchester United is considering changes to its squad, particularly regarding Moroccan Sofyan Amrabat.
On loan to Manchester United by Fiorentina, the Atlas Lion has not met expectations. His performances have not reached the desired level by the club, making it unlikely that his loan will be converted into a permanent transfer. Amrabat has yet to prove himself at Old Trafford. Fiorentina, on the other hand, does not seem to want to reintegrate the 27-year-old Moroccan player.
AC Milan, on the other hand, is showing interest in Amrabat, considering taking over the loan under the same conditions as those established between Fiorentina and Manchester United. According to Pianeta Milan, AC Milan is ready to intervene as early as January, taking over the loan fees until June and retaining a purchase option set at 20 million euros plus a 5 million bonus for the summer of 2024. This potential transfer could offer Sofyan Amrabat a new opportunity to shine, as he struggles to find his place in the Manchester United team.
In 16 appearances, the former FC Utrecht star has not yet convinced, once again questioning the recruitment that took place under Ten Hag and who did everything to bring him back to the club. Moreover, the Africa Cup of Nations that the Moroccan must play could be a hindrance for clubs wishing to recruit him.
