Manchester City Leads Race for PSG’s Achraf Hakimi as Real Madrid Reconsiders

While he opposed a return to Real Madrid of Achraf Hakimi that would have prevented him from recruiting Kylian Mbappé last summer, Florentino Pérez has finally agreed to enter into negotiations with the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) right-back. But a Premier League club is already active to sign the young player.
Hakimi would have convinced his friend and teammate Mbappé to renew his contract with PSG last summer, even though he already had an agreement in principle to go to the Santiago Bernabéu. An act that the president of Real Madrid was not ready to forgive the Moroccan international, blocking his return to the club where he made his debut, despite the insistence of Carlo Ancelotti to make an interesting offer to PSG, reports El Desmarque.
Now that Florentino Perez has come to his senses regarding Hakimi, the 24-year-old Moroccan defender himself would already have moved on. The former player of Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan, who is no longer happy at the Parc des Princes, is attracting the interest of several clubs like Manchester City whose coach, Pep Guardiola, has insisted on having Hakimi in his team next season, to replace Kyle Walker who should join Bayern Munich.
The double winner of the Premier League and the Champions League this season would be ready to pay the 70 million euros requested by PSG to acquire the Moroccan international.
