Monday 25 December 2023, by Said

The public prosecutor’s office in Valence, specialized in hate crimes, has requested three years of detention against a man accused of disseminating false information on social networks targeting Muslims, particularly Moroccans.

This decision aims to punish the dissemination of content likely to generate rejection and hostility. In addition to the prison sentence, a fine of 3,600 euros and a ban on working in the field of Education have been requested.

The alleged facts occurred from the beginning of February to May 2022. The man in question would have published on Facebook allegations mainly targeting the Moroccan community.

"Hassan and Assiyah have occupied an empty house upon Hassan’s arrival, who has never contributed"; "Hassan and Assiyah receive more than 1,400 euros per month in aid for the two of them for life"; "Hassan and Assiyah reside in Morocco six months a year, where they continue to receive aid", the defendant wrote, among other things.

In another post, he wrote: "Spaniards, the time has come to fulfill your obligations. Because it doesn’t maintain itself. It’s up to YOU to pay."
