Man Dies After Consuming Suspicious Substance on Taza Streets, Police Investigate

The regional judicial police service of Taza opened an investigation on Friday to determine the causes of the death of a man in his fifties, following the consumption of a suspicious substance on the public highway.
In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicated that its services were informed that an individual suddenly fainted on the public highway and was taken to the nearest hospital to receive appropriate care. But on arrival at the hospital, the 52-year-old man died before any diagnosis could be made. The preventive search and pat-down operation allowed the discovery on the deceased of a bottle containing the remaining Dolio (thinner) substance.
The body was taken to the morgue for an autopsy to determine the cause of death, while the regional judicial police service of Taza continues its investigation into this case. The victim’s identity is known, as he was under prosecution for violating the state of health emergency.
