Man Burns Moroccan Flag in Istanbul Hotel, Sparks Outrage
The video of a man setting fire to the Moroccan flag in a hotel in Istanbul, Turkey, has elicited a reaction from the Moroccan-African Observatory for the Defense of Territorial Unity.
In this video widely shared on social media in Morocco, the individual claims that the red flag with a green star does not represent the "Alawite state", brandishing that of the Islamic State, "his new homeland".
For the Observatory, this man is nothing but an "ungrateful" person and must be arrested as soon as he returns to Morocco. Moreover, at the height of "betrayal", the latter is currently being fully taken care of by the Moroccan authorities in a hotel in Istanbul, since he is unable to return to the kingdom due to the state of health emergency.
The Observatory also announces that it has contacted the Moroccan embassy in Turkey with a view to filing a complaint with the local authorities.
