Maluma’s Morocco Concert Canceled: Star Addresses Rumors and Reasons

After the wild rumors fueled on social media, the Colombian star Maluma discusses the reasons behind the cancellation of his concert scheduled to take place at the large stadium in Marrakech on July 1, which was part of his "Papi juancho World Tour".
"My friends in Marrakech, see you on July 1st. Be there," wrote the performer of Amigos con derechos. This lover of Morocco was eager to perform there. Unexpectedly, the withdrawal of the concert scheduled for Marrakech on June 30 is announced on the official tour website. Shortly after, Hit Radio, the media partner of the event, announces the cancellation of the concert. "We are sorry to announce the cancellation of Maluma’s concert in Marrakech, due to circumstances beyond our control," it explains on its Facebook page.
This cancellation has given rise to rumors. According to some internet users, the cancellation of Maluma’s concert would be linked to the Melilla tragedy. They base their hypothesis on the fact that the Colombian singer and rapper shared photos of the victims of this tragedy on his Instagram account as a sign of compassion. On Friday, Maluma, in a video posted on an Instagram story, explained that this decision was "neither my fault nor that of my team" and that it had nothing to do with the Melilla tragedy. "It was not up to us," he added, before apologizing to his fans. He promised them that another date would be set for the concert. "I hope to see you soon, I love you, I love Morocco. Every time I was there, it was incredible," concluded the Colombian star.
