Major Natural Gas Discovery in Morocco’s Guercif Province Could Yield Nearly 1 Trillion Cubic Feet

The province of Guercif has large extractable volumes of natural gas, distributed in four wells in the region, according to the British company Predator Oil and Gas.
Natural gas reserves estimated at 474 billion cubic feet have been discovered in four wells in the province of Guercif, a volume that could reach 943 billion cubic feet, according to the estimates of the oil and gas exploration company, Consulting Ireland Ltd Srl.
The extractable gas volumes are very important in the Guercif region, said the chairman of the British company, who claims that the liquefaction process should proceed smoothly.
The British company Predator Oil and Gas had to engage 75% of its shares, in order to obtain the right to prospect an area of 7269 km2 in the eastern region of the kingdom.
The companies currently prospecting in Morocco regularly announce significant discoveries of gas or oil, often to reassure investors, but these discoveries are very rarely confirmed by the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM).
