Major Drug Bust: 5 Arrested Near Toulouse in Morocco-France Trafficking Operation
A RAID team proceeded on July 17 to the arrest of five people transporting drugs from Morocco, at a toll booth on the outskirts of Toulouse.
This arrest is the result of a series of investigations conducted since the beginning of 2020 by the Toulouse prosecutor’s office.
The accused were suspected of engaging in drug trafficking from Morocco to supply the Mirail district, considered a hub of drug trafficking in Toulouse, reports actu.fr.
After their arrest, they were brought before the court and indicted. While four of them were remanded in custody, another was placed under judicial supervision.
In total, 7.2 kilograms of cannabis, 20 grams of cocaine, 1,500 euros in cash, and a vehicle were seized, after searches.
