Major Drug Bust: 666 kg of Cannabis Seized in French Yvelines Region

An investigation that began last June resulted in the seizure of 666 kg of cannabis in the Yvelines and 10 kg of cocaine found in cars in Perpignan and the arrest of several individuals involved in a drug trafficking network between Morocco and the Île-de-France region, passing through Spain and the Pyrénées-Orientales.
It all started with suspicions of a high-speed drug convoy between Morocco and the Île-de-France region, passing through Spain and the Pyrénées-Orientales. The police followed a convoy. The operation proved fruitful: they intercepted several vehicles at the Allainville toll and seized 666 kg of cannabis on board. They also arrested three men on Friday, October 11 in Allainville (Yvelines). They are suspected of engaging in "go-fasts" on behalf of a drug trafficking network in the Yvelines, reports Actu17. After their arrest, they were taken into custody.
Another operation resulted in the seizure of 10 kg of cocaine. This merchandise was in cars from the group parked in a box in Perpignan, specifies Le Parisien. The total value of the seized goods is estimated at 2.2 million euros. The investigation led to the arrest of two other people in La Boissière (Eure) and Poissy (Yvelines) on Saturday, October 12. The five suspects will have to face French justice.
