The earth shook in the province of Al Hoceima this Sunday morning, February 12, 2023, where a seismic shock of magnitude 4.3 on the Richter scale was recorded.
New earthquake in Al Hoceima. An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 degrees was felt off the coast of this province, the National Institute of Geophysics (ING) reported. This seismic shock, the epicenter of which is located in the commune of Nekkour, occurred at 07H 59min 31sec (GMT+1), specifies the National Seismic Monitoring and Alert Network of the ING in a seismic alert bulletin.
The felt shock is at a depth of 18 km, at a latitude of 35.023°N and a longitude of 3.864°W, adds the same source.
