Maes Rapper Prison Morocco Sevran Deaths Rivals
Two men described as close to Franco-Moroccan rapper Maes have been killed within weeks of each other in Sevran. These new deaths are part of a long series of violence linked to drug trafficking and local rivalries.
Imran B., 20, died on June 5 following an assault committed days earlier on the Champs-Élysées. The young man was stabbed in the eye and then hit by a vehicle while celebrating PSG’s European victory.

According to Le Parisien, Imran moved in Maes’ circle and had previously been questioned in an investigation into a shooting that occurred in Sevran in May 2024.
A month after his death, Ali O., 29, was shot dead in his car. The shooters reportedly waited for him early in the morning before targeting his head. Described as a childhood friend of Maes and a member of his inner circle, he too had been involved in a case involving officers from the anti-drug office.
Maes’ shadow over multiple investigations
Imprisoned in Morocco, Maes is serving a seven-year prison sentence following his conviction for kidnapping and unlawful confinement in a case involving an alleged assassination plot against one of his rivals. The rapper has appealed and contests the charges against him.
In France, investigators suspect him of playing a role in several settling of scores in Sevran. Six cases have been consolidated with the Paris Specialized Interregional Court. However, Maes has not yet been questioned in these proceedings.
The rivalries reportedly stem from the filming of a music video in Beaudottes in December 2021. Vehicles were set on fire before several shootings and murders struck men linked to the different factions.

From his Moroccan prison, Maes remains musically active. On July 17, he announced a collaboration with Moroccan rapper ElGrandeToto, while Sevran mourns two new victims described as belonging to his circle.
