Madonna’s Former $21 Million Moroccan-Style Castle Near LA Hits Market

A Moroccan castle from Disneyland that was once owned by American star Madonna has been put up for sale near Los Angeles. The construction of the residence dates back to 1926.
21 million US dollars. This is the trifling amount to be spent to afford what is described as a Moroccan Disneyland. A former property of American star Madonna and Bugsy Siegel, one of the first famous gangsters to make the front pages of newspapers. Its current owner is Russian-American stylist Leon Max, who bought the property in 2010 for $7 million, reports The New York Post.
Built around a shaded courtyard, the house covers 977 sq.m. It has a vintage wood-paneled elevator, and a pool with a view of downtown Los Angeles. The master bedroom is equipped with a huge canopy bed. The most charming bedroom is probably the one at the top of the clock tower, which is accessed by a spiral staircase, and offers a 360-degree view of LA, the reservoir and the Hollywood sign, under which the house is located. According to real estate agent Linda May, this house is "one of the most spectacular trophies in the Hollywood Hills Estates".
