Macron to Visit Morocco: Two-Day Trip Includes Royal Meeting, Parliament Address

The visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Morocco is taking shape. Information has been provided on the date and program of this trip.

We know a little more about the French president’s trip to Morocco. Emmanuel Macron will arrive in Rabat on October 28 for an official two-day visit, reveals the site Rue20. The program of this state visit is rich. The French president will meet with King Mohammed VI and a dinner in his honor will be organized. He should also deliver a speech before the Moroccan Parliament, as former President François Hollande did in 2013, to salute the bilateral relations and turn the page on the differences that have recently affected relations between the two countries.

Macron should also meet with French economic players present in Morocco. It is planned that unprecedented agreements concerning the southern provinces of the Kingdom will be signed between the two countries. Similarly, cooperation and financing agreements for projects, particularly in the field of rail infrastructure, should be signed by the French Development Agency (AFD). Morocco plans to invest significantly in the development of this infrastructure, in order to extend the Al Boraq train network to destinations such as Fez, Tetouan and Agadir.
