Macron Party Member Under Investigation for Alleged Drug Trafficking

Presenting himself as an Advisor to the French President, Emmanuel Macron, Moussa Ouarouss is suspected of drug trafficking by the French justice system.
Under judicial supervision since August 2019, for his alleged involvement in the illicit drug trade, this member of the party, La République en Marche, is the subject of an in-depth investigation by the security services.
The former activist of the Al Hoceima Hirak denies these allegations, and attributes the responsibility to his competitor for the presidency of the Party. For him, it is a settling of scores within his political formation.
Ouarouss joined the La République en Marche Party, created in 2016 by the current President of France, Emmanuel Macron, after a stint with the Socialist Party.
