Macron Expected to Visit Morocco for Peugeot Plant Inauguration

A few months after inaugurating the high-speed line (LGV) between Tangier and Casablanca, French President [Emmanuel Macron] could return to Morocco next month.
Nothing official yet but according to Maghreb Confidentiel, Emmanuel Macron is expected in Morocco for the inauguration of the Peugeot Kenitra Plant. "He will inaugurate the new PSA Peugeot Citroën plant in Kenitra alongside Mohammed VI," the site believes.
Construction of the new plant had begun two years ago for an opening announced for 2019. This plant, the first of the PSA group in Morocco, plans to eventually produce 200,000 cars while the initial figures were targeting 100,000 cars per year at the time of signing the agreement with the Moroccan state.
In terms of employment, this [Peugeot Kenitra] plant should eventually employ some 2,500 people, including many engineers.
