Luxury Car Sales Surge in Morocco Despite Overall Market Decline

According to recent statistics from the Association of Vehicle Importers in Morocco (AIVAM), new car sales in Morocco declined by 2.83%, reaching 130,214 units during the first ten months of 2023. However, premium vehicle sales are not affected by the crisis.
Audi is the champion in this category, posting a 13% increase in sales to reach 3,599 vehicles sold, representing a 3.07% market share. BMW follows with 2,782 units sold (2.37% market share), while Mercedes-Benz completes the top three with 2,147 units, representing 1.83% of the market.
Porsche surprised with strong growth of 28.1%, and 351 vehicles sold. Jaguar was not as lucky, seeing its sales decline by nearly 14.66% to 99 units over the period.
For the month of October alone, AIVAM reports a 2.22% decline in overall premium sales to 12,805 units. The VP and VUL segments recorded declines of 0.08% and 16.49% respectively.
