Luxembourg Opens Borders to Vaccinated Moroccan Travelers Starting November 7

Moroccan travelers, holders of a vaccination certificate, will be authorized, as of November 7, to enter the territory of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

In a press release dated November 5, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs informed of the "publication of the Grand Ducal Regulation of November 2, 2021 establishing the list of third countries whose vaccination certificates are accepted by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg". This text authorizes third-country nationals, including Morocco, holding a vaccination certificate, to travel again for non-essential purposes to the Grand Duchy, as of November 7, 2021.

"Third-country nationals with a certificate proving a complete vaccination schedule issued by the United States, by a Member State of the European Union or the Schengen Area, or by the following third countries: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, United States, Faroe Islands, Israel, Morocco, Monaco, Panama, Republic of North Macedonia, United Kingdom, San Marino, Turkey, Ukraine, Vatican, will be authorized to enter the territory of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, including for non-essential travel," the press release specifies.

Residents of third countries such as Saudi Arabia, Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Chile, China (subject to confirmation of reciprocity at European Union level), South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Kuwait, Rwanda, New Zealand, Qatar, Singapore, Ukraine and Uruguay are also authorized to enter the territory of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, including for non-essential travel, the press release adds, stressing that "the proof of residence is the responsibility of the third-country national".

The document recalls that additional health measures are applicable for any travel by air to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. "Any person, from the age of 12 years and 2 months, must present at boarding a vaccination certificate issued by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, a Member State of the European Union or the Schengen Area, or certain third countries (see above for the third countries concerned); a certificate of recovery established within 6 months prior to their trip; the negative result (on paper or electronic document) of a NAAT, PCR, TMA or LAMP test performed less than 72 hours before the flight or of a rapid SARS-CoV-2 antigen test performed less than 48 hours before the flight," the press release concludes.
