Love is Blind, Habibi: an Iraqi candidate insults Moroccan women

The reality TV show "Love is Blind, Habibi" on Netflix is facing a wave of criticism following comments made by an Iraqi candidate, Khatab, against Moroccan women. During a radio interview, he made mocking and offensive remarks, going so far as to describe the Moroccan candidate Hajar as "non-Moroccan".
This statement provoked a strong reaction on social media, where many Moroccan Internet users denounced the candidate’s behavior and expressed their support for Hajar. Simo and Hajar, the two Moroccan participants, also publicly reacted, condemning all forms of racism and affirming their attachment to their origins.
Under pressure, Khatab finally apologized, denying any intention to hurt and specifying that he has many Moroccan friends.
It should be recalled that the principle of the "Love is Blind, Habibi" show is to allow young Arabs of different nationalities to meet and get to know each other only through their voices, without seeing each other.
