Liverpool Eyes World Cup Standout Amrabat to Bolster Midfield

The feats of Moroccan player Sofyan Amrabat at the 2022 World Cup are pleasing and driving up the bidding. Several teams would like to recruit him in the next winter transfer window, including English clubs, including Liverpool.
Presented as "a versatile, tactically intelligent player" who has good physical condition, Sofyan Amrabat stood out for his "exceptional technical qualities" during Morocco’s four World Cup matches. He is on Liverpool’s radar, who have started negotiations, according to statements by coach Jurgen Klopp.
The midfielder could bring fresh impetus to the weakened Reds, who have suffered injuries to several players. Moreover, after the flop of the transfer of Brazilian Arthur Melo, having a player like Sofyan Amrabat seems more than necessary. Liverpool has already contacted agent Gianluca Nani. And since the player’s contract with Fiorentina expires in 2024, Liverpool would have offered him a doubling of his salary.
According to his agent’s confidences, the Serie A club would be unable to make such an offer. There are therefore strong chances that Sofyan Amrabat will land at Liverpool after the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
