Liverpool Eyes Moroccan Striker Youssef En-Nesyri for Summer Transfer

Youssef En-Nesyri is once again attracting the interest of the English club Liverpool. The Reds are preparing an offer to try to recruit the player this summer.

The player’s performance at the Qatar 2022 World Cup is still on everyone’s mind (goal against Portugal) and he is currently in good form, which has not escaped Liverpool’s notice. Despite a difficult start to the season, he quickly regained his level to the delight of his supporters and teammates, including Yassine Bounou, who had declared that "Youssef En-Nesyri of great days will be back".

Liverpool’s management considers that En-Nesyri could be an asset for the club, which is going through a difficult period and wants to bounce back. According to some Spanish media, the Reds want to take advantage of Roberto Firmino’s departure to recruit a new striker and have set their sights on the Moroccan player. Liverpool is willing to offer up to 30 million pounds, or 35 million euros. Probably not enough for the Andalusians.

En-Nesyri was transferred to Sevilla in January 2020 for an amount of 20 million euros. His current market value is estimated at 15 million euros, but Sevilla does not want to let him go for less than 50 million euros. According to the Spanish daily AS, this amount refers to the 50 goals scored by En-Nesyri in La Liga. If Liverpool wants to recruit him, it will have to offer more during the negotiations. West Ham had offered 40 million euros, but the offer was rejected by the player.
