Listed at €20 million, the Moroccan royal family’s mansion sold to a French buyer

The transaction was concluded in July 2026 by Engel & Völkers, reports MySweetImmo. The price actually paid was not disclosed by the real estate network.

Built in 1925, the property was owned by Lalla Latifa, mother of King Mohammed VI, through a property-holding company. Following her death in June 2024, the sovereign and his siblings undertook to reorganize part of this family estate.

Bladi had reported in January the listing for sale of two luxury properties belonging to the royal family in Neuilly-sur-Seine. The larger one, offered at €20 million, has therefore officially found a buyer.

The Figaro Immobilier had previously estimated the transaction amount at between €17 million and €18 million. However, this figure was not confirmed by Engel & Völkers, which is keeping the final price confidential.

1,325 m², eight suites and a swimming pool

Located in the Maurice-Barrès–Les Sablons district, opposite the Bois de Boulogne and the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the mansion has 16 main rooms. Its 1,325 m² of living space are spread across several floors and two basement levels.

The residence includes eight suites, each with a bathroom and a dressing room. The top floor is reserved for the master suite, extended by a continuous balcony. A 105 m² terrace arranged on the roof offers panoramic views over western Paris.

The property also has a 245 m² landscaped garden. The basements house a swimming pool, a hammam, a gym, service areas and technical facilities.

Despite these amenities, the buyer will have to undertake extensive renovation work. According to the agency handling the sale, the French private buyer was reportedly persuaded above all by the location, unobstructed views and lack of overlooking properties—features that have become extremely rare in Neuilly-sur-Seine.

This sale comes as the royal family reorganizes several of its real estate assets in France. Mohammed VI had also been presented as wanting to sell the historic château of Betz, acquired by Hassan II in 1972, although the Moroccan embassy subsequently denied that it had been put on the market.
