Lille Winger Osame Sahraoui Chooses Morocco Over Norway for International Career

Osame Sahraoui, the promising winger of LOSC Lille, has decided: it is with the Moroccan jersey that he will write the next chapter of his football history. This decision, announced first by the Norwegian media, puts an end to a long suspense about his choice of national team.
The 23-year-old player personally informed the Norwegian coach, Ståle Solbakken, of his decision. "It is after careful consideration that Osame has chosen to play for Morocco," Solbakken said, visibly disappointed but respectful of his player’s choice. "We obviously wish him good luck for the future."
This choice represents a real blow to Norway, which was counting on Sahraoui to strengthen its squad. Oussama Sahraoui had indeed been called up for the national team’s next matches. But it is ultimately Morocco that will be able to benefit from his talent. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has actively worked in recent weeks to convince the player to choose the Atlas Lions.
