Lille and Strasbourg Compete for Young Moroccan Football Talents from Mohammed VI Academy

The profile of two young Moroccan talents trained at the Mohammed VI football academy (AM6) interests Lille and Strasbourg.
Lille and Strasbourg are seduced by the talent of Mouad Dahak and Yassir Zabiri and hope to have them in their squad. The two clubs are fighting to secure the services of these two Moroccan gems, footmercato believes, adding that the AM6 should let Mouad go for a sum of around 200,000 euros and a resale percentage of around 40%.
Trained at the Mohammed VI academy, they are both full of talent. Described as a true technical phenomenon, and considered the best player of the 2005 generation, Mouad Dahak, a Moroccan U20 international, has scored five goals and provided 4 assists in his last 8 games. In February 2023, he was named best player of the Mohamed VI tournament and several clubs such as PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, OM, OL or Strasbourg had expressed interest in him. For the past six months, he has been on loan to US Touarga in Botola. Mouad has scored 1 goal in eight games and finished the season as a starter.
Yassir Zabiri also has impressive football qualities. He is technically gifted, and capable of playing across the front line and especially as a striker. Like his compatriot, he was named best player of the last edition of the Mohammed VI tournament in February. This Moroccan U20 international has scored eight goals in 12 games. Teammate of Mouad at Touarga (on loan), he has scored 3 goals in 11 games (the 3 in the last 3 league games) in the last six months of the season. It remains to be seen whether Lille and Strasbourg will succeed in convincing these two young Moroccan talents to sign their arrival in Ligue 1.
