Libyan Suspect in Malta Murder Case Arrested at Casablanca Airport

An individual of Libyan origin was arrested in Morocco for having killed a man in Malta, more precisely in Santa Luċija.
It is the Lovin Malta site that reported the news of the arrest of the 37-year-old suspect, who shared the same apartment with the victim, in the Misraħ Dorell neighborhood of Santa Luċija. It was in this apartment that the police discovered the victim’s body placed in several plastic bags.
The thorough police investigation revealed that the suspect had fled to Morocco where he was arrested at Casablanca airport and placed in detention, pending his extradition to Malta.
