Legendary Moroccan Goalkeeper Ahmed Belkorchi Dies at 69

The Moroccan sports world is in mourning. The legendary goalkeeper Ahmed Belkorchi, nicknamed "Chaoui" and who marked the 1970s, died at the age of 69.
Born in 1952 in Derb Dhabashi from a Marrakech family, "Chaoui" joined KACM at the age of thirteen, before wearing the national team jersey. He was part of the generation of Becho, Perses, Khalifa, Zahrawi, Boudjemaa, Cala...
The news of the death of this veteran was made public by his family. Ahmed Belkorchi was one of the best players to have worn the jerseys of KACM and the national team in the 1970s. Some still remember his brilliant participation in the final stages of the 1972 CAN in Cameroon and the 1974 World Cup in Munich.
He had also distinguished himself during the 1972 Olympics in Munich, up to the CAN qualifiers in 1996.
