Kushner to Visit Morocco on First Tel Aviv-Rabat Commercial Flight, Sign Economic Agreements

The main advisor to the outgoing US president, Jared Kushner, will travel to Morocco next week on board the first commercial flight from Tel Aviv to Rabat.
Jared Kushner will be in Israel on Monday, December 21, where he will meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reports Bloomberg, specifying that he will then fly to Morocco the next day accompanied by an Israeli delegation led by Israel’s National Security Advisor, Meir Ben-Shabbat.
During this visit, Kushner will sign bilateral agreements with members of the Moroccan government in Rabat. These agreements will be of an economic nature. Last week, the US ambassador to Morocco, David Fischer, said that his country would take measures to strengthen commercial and economic relations with the kingdom.
The announcement of this visit comes a few days after the American recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara.
Jared Kushner’s last visit to Morocco was in May 2019. He had been received by King Mohammed VI at the Royal Palace in Rabat for a ftour. This visit came ahead of the peace conference, scheduled a month later in Bahrain, where the United States was to unveil the economic component of the Israeli-Palestinian peace plan.
