Korean Vlogger Apologizes for Controversial Video with Moroccan Teen, Sparking Cultural Debate

Steve, the Korean vlogger who shared on social networks a video showing him with a Moroccan teenage girl who was flirting with him in Casablanca, has apologized following the strong controversy that this publication has sparked on the web.

"There is a problem with the video I posted," said the vlogger in a video subtitled in Arabic published on his YouTube channel, before offering his sincere apologies to the Moroccans: "I am grateful for the experience I had there, and I apologize for the inconvenience my videos have caused to some Moroccans."

Steve added that Morocco is a "beautiful" country where he met wonderful people, assuring that his intention was not bad and that this video does not reflect his real esteem for Moroccan culture.

The vlogger also stated that the young woman who appeared in the video "did nothing wrong," claiming to be the "only one responsible" for what happened. "The girl in the video did nothing wrong, so if anyone is to blame for this mistake, it’s me. I beg you, forgive me," he said to the young woman who has certainly undergone family and social pressure after the video was released.

"I really love Morocco and I hope to visit it again. I promise I will be more careful in the future and I will film in a polite and respectful manner. I’m sorry and thank you," he concluded, bowing before the camera to express his regret.
