French Tourist’s Viral Video Exposes Harassment in Morocco, Sparks Social Media Debate

According to her testimony, an individual approached her, kissed her hand without her consent, and insisted on getting her phone number. She then filmed the incident and shared it.

The tourist, who was on her third stay in Morocco, explained that she posted the video in order to raise awareness about the negative impact that such individual behaviors can have on the country’s image.

She also stressed that she had always been well received in Morocco and described the incident as an "isolated act", while praising the atmosphere of the city. However, she confirmed that she had felt fear and concern at the time of the incident.
