King Mohammed VI’s Visit Prompts Urgent Road Repairs in Salé, Morocco

Due to the deterioration of a major artery in the city of Salé, King Mohammed VI would be angry. Following this observation, development work is being undertaken on this road, which is consequently closed to traffic for a few days.
Named Sidi Ben Acher, the very important road in Salé is now closed and will be redeveloped in the coming days, reports the daily Assabah, stressing that the acceleration of the redevelopment work follows a night visit made by King Mohammed VI.
On February 10, the sovereign is said to have passed through this road. During his passage, he would have made a stop near the Salihine market and exchanged with a security agent. He then passed through the Salé marina and the Bettana district before continuing on to Meknes. It is following this visit that the road in question has been closed in both directions and that the work has begun, which will certainly take several days, as indicated by a provisional decision consulted by the daily.
It should be recalled that the local press reported, at the end of January, another anger of King Mohammed VI, thus notifying the provisional interruption of the redevelopment work of the Rabat-Ville station. In addition to the delays, the flooding and the state of great dilapidation of the building still under renovation would be the cause of the interruption of the work.
