King Mohammed VI Mourns Passing of Moroccan Folk Singer Chama Zaz

Following the death on Monday, September 28 of the artist Chama Zaz, King Mohammed VI sent his condolences to the artist’s family and to all members of the world of art and culture.
Deceased at the age of 70, Chama Zaz is, according to the sovereign, one of the first interpreters of "Aita Al Jabalia" in Morocco. With her talent, she contributed to the preservation and enrichment of this authentic Moroccan musical heritage. That is why, in this painful circumstance, Mohammed VI, in his message, thought of her family and all those who were lulled by her songs and all those who had known her in one way or another, reports the MAP.
King Mohammed VI implores the Almighty to grant the deceased’s family patience and comfort, and to amply reward the late Chama Zaz for all her works and to welcome her in his vast paradise among the virtuous.
