King Mohammed VI Covers Medical Costs for Moroccan Football Legend Mohamed Timoumi

King Mohammed VI instructed a member of his cabinet to fully cover the medical and hospitalization costs of the former Moroccan football glory Mohamed Timoumi. The latter has an old injury that is clearly taking a toll on his health.
As King Mohammed VI was inquiring about the role that the former Atlas Lions stars Aziz Bouderbala, Mohamed Timoumi and Noureddine Naybet played in the operation of the Maâmoura Center, he noticed that Timoumi was leaning on a cane, reports Al Akhbar.
Immediately, the sovereign questioned the former player. In response, he explained to him that it was an old injury that he has been dragging since the semi-final of AS FAR against Zamalek, in 1985. He recalled having suffered a strong tackle during this match, which caused a ligament rupture in his right ankle and a fibula fracture. The 1985 African Ballon d’Or winner told the Sovereign that he has been suffering from knee and back pain since then.
In a gesture of kindness, King Mohammed VI instructed a member of his cabinet to take the necessary steps to fully cover the player’s medical expenses. A few moments after the interview between this former football glory and the sovereign, two doctors from the Rabat military hospital contacted Mohamed Timoumi to set up a care protocol.
