King Mohammed VI Boosts Pay for Moroccan Troops on Algerian Border

At the end of the year, King Mohammed VI orders a review of the remuneration of the elements of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) assigned to the border area with Algeria in the Sahara. This will bring joy to the hearts of the soldiers.
King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), has ordered that the military personnel stationed in the border area with Algeria in eastern Sahara, of all ranks, benefit from the same salary treatment as those stationed in the Western Sahara areas, reports Maghreb Intelligence. This is a "double salary" (substantial increase in the basic salary) to which a so-called supply allowance will be added. These soldiers will receive these bonuses with their January 2022 salary.
In the past, the sovereign had ordered the relocation of FAR barracks and bases located in urban areas to the outskirts of cities. In this sense, about twenty barracks had been built along Morocco’s borders with Algeria.
