Kickboxing Star Badr Hari Announces Retirement After Loss to Overeem

Badr Hari will no longer step into the ring. He just announced tonight, right after the end of his fight against Alistair Overeem, that he is seriously considering retiring from his career.
This is the second time in a week that the Moroccan champion has mentioned this possibility. Tonight, especially in the 3rd round against his opponent, he seemed very tired, even going so far as to look at his trainer to end the fight.
Badr Hari announced his professional retirement at the moment when Overeem was challenging the world champion, Rico Verhoeven. "Hey guys, a little silence please, have some respect for me, don’t I deserve it?" he told them before starting his speech.
"Guys, I’m seriously thinking of retiring. I started a while ago, I’ve faced the best, I think I don’t have much more to prove. The guys who came here tonight for me, I really wanted to thank you. Wallah, always, all these years, every time you were there to support me. I have loyal fans and I find myself in the presence of two super guys (Rico Verhoeven and Alistair Overeem)," said Hari after the fight.
The champion then thanked his fans and members of his team in English. "Thank you all, I don’t think you’ll see me here again, so on that note, thank you, I love you, and who knows... one day maybe, somewhere else," concluded Badr Hari.
