Glory Kickboxer Jamal Ben Saddik Suspended 10 Months for Doping Violation

The Belgian-Moroccan Jamal Ben Saddik was sentenced last March to a ten-month suspension, after a positive doping test, the Glory kickboxing organization announced at the beginning of this October.
Jamal Ben Saddik tested positive for clomiphene, a substance prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), during an out-of-competition check in March. The kickboxer of Moroccan origin should have received a twelve-month suspension, but the duration of the sanction was reduced to ten months, after the fighter provided proof that he was using this product on medical prescription.
This is the third time the world champion has been sanctioned for doping in his career, after the episodes of 2015 and 2022. Ben Saddik had been suspended for six months for his unsportsmanlike gesture against his rival Rico Verhoeven. The Moroccan kickboxer had kicked the Dutchman during an altercation. With this ten-month suspension since March, he will not be able to step into the ring until 2025.
In addition, the world champion has legal troubles. He was sentenced in June to a forty-month prison sentence for his alleged involvement in a kidnapping, in connection with a drug case. The fighter has appealed this decision and has been released on bail.
