Kickboxer’s Family Restaurant in Antwerp Hit by Third Attack in a Week
In Borgerhout (Antwerp), the restaurant belonging to the family of Belgian-Moroccan kickboxer Jamal Ben Saddik was, for the third time, the target of an attack in the night from Sunday to Monday, July 18.
According to the local police, an explosion was heard in the night from Sunday to Monday, July 18 on the Stenenburg, in Borgerhout (Antwerp), reports Belga. The target? A restaurant belonging to the family of Belgian-Moroccan kickboxer Jamal Ben Saddik. No casualties are to be deplored.
This is not the first time this restaurant has been targeted. On Tuesday, a fire was started in the same building using heavy fireworks and fire accelerants. Before this attack, another had taken place a few days earlier. The building had been the target of shootings, and two suspects had been arrested in the vicinity.
The federal judicial police are investigating whether these acts are related to the drug environment.
