Kenya Airways and Royal Air Maroc Revive Code-Share Partnership for African Routes

Kenya Airways, based in Nairobi, plans to reactivate its code-sharing agreement with the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM). Initiated in 2016, this agreement had been interrupted in 2019.
Kenya Airways (KQ) plans to resume, starting in September 2023, its code-sharing agreement with Royal Air Maroc (RAM), initially covering certain services to and from Casablanca, reports Aeroroutes. From September 13, 2023, flights between Casablanca and Accra, and Casablanca - Marrakech will be operated by Kenya Airways, it is specified. The Nairobi-Accra, Nairobi-Johannesburg, Nairobi-Zanzibar destinations will also be served by Royal Air Maroc. However, the date has not been communicated.
The code-sharing agreement between the two companies had been initiated in 2016, before being interrupted in 2019. This partnership allows KQ to offer weekly flights to Casablanca and Marrakech, via Accra, as well as other international destinations on RAM’s network. It gives RAM passengers the opportunity to travel to Nairobi, Zanzibar and Johannesburg on KQ’s network.
