The Moroccan Campaign for Academic and Cultural Boycott (MACBI) has demanded the cancellation of these performances on social media. The collective reproaches the singer for his concert in Tel Aviv in summer 2022, his statements assimilating the origins of the Romani people to Israel, as well as his musical collaborations with Israeli artists.

To justify this mobilization, the organization believes that "this normalization contributes to whitewashing Israeli crimes" in the current context. It defines its approach as "a non-violent political response" against those who associate with institutions of the Hebrew State.

Targeted by this campaign, the producer of Casamusic Show, Kenza Cheddadi, firmly rejects these allegations. She emphasizes that the artist has never taken a position on this conflict and recalls his previous uneventful visits to the Kingdom, particularly at the Mawazine and TaghaMusic festivals.

These boycott calls have nonetheless already marked the musician’s career in the past. The BDS France movement had mobilized during his Israeli date, as did other detractors who had called, unsuccessfully, for the cancellation of his concert in Beirut in November 2025.
